Karl A. Wagner III recently joined the board of the Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF). The GPCF is governed by a diverse group of civic and business leaders, community stewards and caring volunteers serving on its board of directors.
A community foundation enables generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted community philanthropy. Rather than give a one-time donation to a charity, the gift is properly invested and allocated, according to the donor’s wishes, so as to provide on-going impact in perpetuity. Thus, the simple mission statement for the GPCF is “For Good. Forever.” According to the GPCF, donors can establish a “named” endowment fund with an initial gift of as little as $1,000 or make a gift of any size to its existing funds. Contributions support local programs and non-profit organizations that are most important to donors. The Greater Pike Community Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain. Recently, the GPCF received a sizable endowment from the estate of a Biondo Group client, who selected four separate charities, near and dear to his heart. His generosity has created a lasting legacy of charitable giving that will span generations to come. If you are interested in learning more about how to participate in the Greater Pike Community Foundation, a Community Foundation in your local community or any other foundation or endowment, please call Karl Wagner to discuss what may make sense for your personal situation.
