The Art of the Introduction

[pullquote]“as most small business owners and entrepreneurs already know, there is no greater compliment than when a client introduces you and your business to a friend or relative…”[/pullquote]
Quick question… What do plumbers, CPA’s and Financial Professionals have in common? Answer: All three primarily grow their practices by referrals or “word of mouth.” In the business world, as most small business owners and entrepreneurs already know, there is no greater compliment than when a client introduces you and your business to a friend or relative and enjoys sharing their positive experience with them.
Yet, there are certain ways to facilitate an introduction that results in a far greater success rate than others. Most people thoughtful enough to pass on a referral will generally provide that potential customer with the contact information for the referred business or entity. Although, all well and good, the prospect now has to take the necessary action to reach out to the business, which does not always translate into actual contact. I have a much better idea…
Recently a client called and needed some advice in the sale of their business. Unhappy with the counsel provided by their current CPA, they asked if we knew someone with more experience. We did. Thus, a meeting was scheduled in which we brought the prospective client to the CPA’s office and had a meeting to discuss whether or not they were a good fit, and happily they were.
At Biondo Investment Advisors, we depend on other professionals and our clients to help us grow and reach out to more people who fit the mold of our current client base. In other words, we are looking for more people exactly like yourselves who will benefit from the experience and services you have already received as our valued client. We find that people in transitions such as impending retirement, job change or the passing of a loved one are always in need of sound financial guidance.
The next time a friend or family member says they need financial advice, please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with that person to directly introduce them to The Biondo Team at one of our offices or through a conference call. Your personal assistance will help better make the connection between Biondo Investment Advisors and your friends and family.
As always, we are humbled and grateful to serve the wonderful clients that we have here at Biondo Investment Advisors. We hope to be able to do the same for your friends and family.
